We introduce two different types of fluidic soft robots that can be propelled without damaging the tube wall by applying air pressure to a flexible tube structure. The first is a small robot with an outer diameter of 2.6 mm that was developed to propel the bronchus and assist in guiding cell collection. In order to achieve a smaller diameter, we introduced a structure that can generate peristaltic motion with a single input line and also allows direction selection at branches. The second is a mobile robot that propels drainage pipes to perform maintenance, inspection, and cleaning. In order to achieve long-distance propulsion even through complex pipelines, we introduced a configuration in which propulsion units and support units are arranged alternately to generate distributed thrust. While introducing the operation of two types of fluidic soft robots in videos, we will explain the possibilities and challenges of these devices.
